The User Acceptance Tester (UAT) will examine and evaluate systems prior to launch to help drive quality. As the last phase of system release, the UAT will make sure our software can handle all required tasks in real-world scenarios, according to specifications. The UAT will bring clarity to requirements, communicate to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensure identified defects are properly triaged and help resolve all issues and defects found.



Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities:  

  • Create, prepare and deliver test scenarios, test strategies, reviews and test data while adhering to business process and test standards.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing on technical work items delivered for the business
  • Provide detailed description of scenarios that failed
  • Verify and validate business requirement against business process
  • Report defects in test management tool and manage them throughout their life-cycle
  • Determine if assigned scenarios pass or fail and record findings
  • Partner with the business to engage and lead transparent testing efforts.
  • Author complex test scenarios, test cases and test scripts.
  • Partner with testing team and business to select test scripts and regression test scripts to represent business process.
  • Perform complex test data conditioning, regression testing and testing validation.
  • Support the User Acceptance Testing as part of the end-to-end process of seeing requirements through to completion
  • Apply medium to advanced testing tool knowledge to efforts. 
  • Learn PPL customized system and remain up to date on system functionality and features


Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge and understanding of application testing methodologies, tools, and execution
  • Analytical and Strategic Thinker 
  • Excellent PC spreadsheet and database skills
  • Communication expertise and ability to communicate to all levels within company
  • Demonstrate technical expertise and related content knowledge
  • Strong Microsoft Office applications skills
  • Proven creative problem-solving ability and a consultancy mindset
  • Proven ability to take initiative and seek solutions
  • Able to follow, critically evaluate, and improve upon current processes

Preferred Qualifications:

Education:  Relevant Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience,

Experience:  1+years of systems/application testing, or systems/application quality assurance experience
