We are currently seeking the services of full-time Senior Technical Architect, for our Windsor, CT office. If you are dynamic, mature, ambitious, creative, and autonomous, you will appreciate working with our team of technology professionals committed towards producing superior applications for the Education Sector.


Specific Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with management and IT designers/developers to develop solutions
  • Ensure that product plans and roadmaps are aligned with business development strategies, plans and objectives
  • Translate business needs to develop solutions for clients
  • Participate in the evaluation and analysis of business requirements, and assist in defining program requirements and software configuration, including responsibility to estimate new projects and scope and respond to RFPs.
  • Architect highly scalable, available, and elastic solutions that implement industry best practices
  • Ensure architectural integrity, quality, and consistency across the platform
  • Proactively identify and implement procedures to streamline the processes
  • Conceive and presents architectural approaches for new products or product improvements
  • Oversee development teams to ensure product is created on-time and according to specifications, including conducting code reviews, diving into the code to address issues
  • Communicate progress and discuss implementation with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with and mentor other members of the team
  • Research the most up-to-date techniques in software and technology


Required Skills:

  • Strong experience working with open source databases: MySQL, PostgresSQL, MongoDB
  • Strong experience with the following languages and syntaxes: PHP, Javascript
  • Strong experience with Symfony PHP framework
  • Strong experience with Javascript frameworks (VueJS preferably)
  • Strong Linux experience
  • Strong Docker experience
  • Strong BDD and test framework experience (Gherkin-based)
  • Microservice and/or split stack development is essential
  • Cloud experience in order of preference AWS, Azure

 Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field;
  • 10 +years hands on technical experience with LAMP stack tools (.NET technology is a huge plus)
  • Experience in the education software development and architecting is a huge plus
