Compliance is responsible for garnishment entry, verification of employment, union dues, workers compensation and other payroll related functions.  A successful candidate will provide quality, timely and courteous service to agencies and professionals, in addition to ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and timely processing of garnishment orders and levies. Processing errors in this discipline can expose PPL to the risk of financial losses and reputational issues. Candidate must be able to work under deadline pressure, thrive on change and challenge and be process improvement minded.


  • Unclaimed Property management; research, process payments & report unclaimed property
  • Perform non-payroll transaction reconciliation
  • Create garnishment & voluntary deduction reporting
  • Process garnishment refunds
  • Receive, process and respond to requests from the Office of Attorney General (OAG)
  • Workers Compensation management; reconciling and processing payments
  • Processing involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments
  • Generate and issue garnishment and other vendor payments
  • Respond to garnishment or court orders by the requested dates
  • Create support tickets utilizing our internal Portal
  • Process support ticket as assigned
  • Monitor, research, process and respond to team’s email inbox
  • Perform special projects to explore ways to improve the efficiency of department functions

  • Moderate experience with Microsoft Office 365 toolset, specifically Word, PowerPoint, Skype
  • Ability to prioritize projects, tasks and objectives
  • Ability to gain strong working knowledge of our internal payroll system
  • Self-motivated and results orientated
  • Ability to communicate in a professional and articulate manner – proficient in verbal and written communication

Education: Associates Degree in Finance related field and 4 years' of experience in the field  

Experience: 6+ years of accounting, banking or clerical experience required, payroll experience a plus
