This position is a temporary assignment (duration approximately 1 year) to support NYS Department of Health contact tracing initiatives related to COVID - 19.

New York State will hire and train a team of staff working remotely to support the NYS Department of Health (NYSDOH) and Local Health Departments (LHDs) to perform COVID-19 contact tracing in communities across NYS. The aim of this initiative will be to call every person diagnosed with COVID-19, establish all contacts of this person, and proceed to call and maintain ongoing communication with every contact. In addition, the team will support the isolation and quarantine of individuals, as appropriate in cooperation with the LHD. This includes virtual needs checks and referral to community resources as needed. This contact tracing initiative is in tandem with statewide-wide efforts to increase testing, improve communication and knowledge of effective strategies to reduce transmission, and implementation of isolation and quarantine. This will fortify efforts to control the pandemic in NYS.



Responsibilities

  • Manages data integration with other platforms including learning, background checks, talent acquisition etc.
  • Supports development, configuration, and management of HR systems to achieve efficiency/efficacy.
  • Manages and oversees the maintenance and accuracy of employee data and reporting.
  • Analyzes data to drive and support HR strategies
  • Presents data and analysis appropriate at all levels of the organization
  • Develops a thorough understanding of, and act as a key resource for, all HR systems and related processes.
  • Collaborates with others to design and deliver business unit dashboard reporting (including KPI’s).
  • Manages process design/redesign, system and workflow enhancements, maintenance, support, and training.
  • Perform system testing and validation of results
  • Recommends process and customer service improvements by developing innovative solutions.
  • Point of contact for system users; develops/maintains documentation for all processes; manage vendors.
  • Implements data integrity audits and design/implement strategy to ensure data integrity.


Qualifications

  • Proven track record implementing, operating &/or managing best-in-class HRIS platforms.
  • Analytical with strong project management, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong client service skills; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Collaborate with functional and technical staff, both internal and external, to achieve required results.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and be part of a team.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done on time.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • A high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required
  • Experience in ERP/SaaS solutions (Dayforce, iCims) is preferred

Education: Bachelor’s degree in technology/HRIS or related field or equivalent experience required.

Experience: 3-5+ years experience
